Chicago, Illinois- The course represents I-CAR’s continued development of its Electric Vehicle curriculum with hands-on learning and skill development.
This course is hosted at the new I-CAR Chicago Technical Centre in Vernon Hills, Illinois. The course is 5 days long and is taught by I-car’s faculty of EV experts.
Furthermore, the course promises to teach students competency and safety throughout the EV repair process. This new course represents the finishing touches for a program that includes 8 other prerequisite EV courses.
“This EV capstone hands-on course provides the personalized, onsite instruction to help technicians gain the confidence and competence needed to help inspect, and repair today’s EV and Hybrid vehicles…” said I-CAR director of technical programs and services, Dirk Fuchs.
Finally, the course curriculum itself will teach professionals EV Specific tasks related to high voltage systems such as, measurement, connection and disconnection, initialization of high voltage systems following repairs and performance of various sequences and testing related to EV technology.
“This is followed by written and practical (hands-on) exams to ensure the learner has the knowledge and skill necessary to perform complete, safe, and quality repairs in this area,” said Bud Center, I-CAR Technical Products and Curriculum Director..
