Cortland, New York — January 15, 2015 — The Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) has announced the release of the 2015 edition of the company’s “Vehicle Lifting Points for Frame Engaging Lifts” guide.
The company says the updated guide is a single-source reference manual for lifting point information as recommended by OEMs. The 70-page Lifting Point Guide (LP-G) covers domestic cars, imported cars and light trucks, and uses over 200 undercarriage images to cover the most recent 25 years worth of automobiles.
The new edition of the guide adds 2015 model year vehicles, revises and replaces some older images, and adds cautionary notes in an effort to clarify pick-up point locations for shop owners, technicians and other LP-Guide users.
The ALI-sponsored guide is released annually as an industry service, utilizing data furnished exclusively for ALI by Chek-Chart Products, MOTOR Information Systems. The company says the guide and accompanying safety materials are widely used by many companies in their safety and training programs.
