Toronto, Ontario — November 30, 2018 — Ajay Kochhar, president and CEO of Li-Cycle Corp, accepted the Young Entrepreneur of the Year award at the 2018 Mississauga Board of Trade (MBOT) Business Awards of Excellence.
The event, which took place on November, 15, recognized businesses and individuals in 11 categories designed to highlight the best and brightest in Mississauga. Kochhar was awarded based on his ability to lead Li-Cycle Corp with innovative approaches, proven businesses experience and a plan for growth into the future.
Li-Cycle Technology is a low cost, safe and environmentally friendly process that can recycle a variety of lithium-ion batteries. The company is currently supporting a growing international movement towards zero carbon technologies.
Since 1980, the MBOT has recognized Mississauga businesses and individuals whose achievements, or community involvement, have made significant contributions to the economic and social well being of the city and globe. The annual event brings together businesses, government and industry leaders for a night of celebration.
