Ottawa, Ontario — February 13, 2018 — The AIA is looking for nominees for its annual Young Leader of the Year award, which recognizes a young employee for their dedication to the automotive industry.
Criteria for the award include: an individual under the age of 45, excelling in leadership, involved in AIA as a volunteer, showing commitment to their community through volunteering and showing accomplishments both in and out of the industry. The nominator is asked to write a letter of recommendation for their nominee, detailing how the nominee fits the criteria in at least one of the noted categories.
Nomination forms must be completed, signed and submitted to AIA Canada by March 26. From there, nominations will be reviewed and candidates contacted. The final decision for the award will be announced by April 2. The winner of the award and their nominator will be informed via phone before or on this date. The winner will be invited as a guest to attend the 2018 AIA Annual General Meeting on April 25 and the award will be presented during the event. Candidates that are not selected will be put forward for consideration in 2018 and 2019.
