Toronto, Ontario — The Women’s Industry Network (WIN) has announced the full speaker and program lineup for its annual 2024 conference.
The Dream Out Loud-themed conference will take place May 6 through 8 at the Hyatt Regency in Newport Beach, California and will aim to celebrate women in the industry by raising funds for collision repair student scholarships, recognizing scholarship winners, taking part in community givebacks and honouring this year’s Most Influential Women (MIW) recipients.
According to a recently released schedule, the conference will feature an extensive curriculum with multiple topics from goal development to the intricacies of specific repairs. Speakers and topics include:
- Debbie Peterson; “From Dreams to Actions: The Roadmap to Your Career”
- Dharma Shakti; “Your Next Bold Move”
- Mitch Becker; “Future Proofing With ADAS Scanning and Calibration”
- Samantha Hardingham; “Electric Vehicles: Charting the Future of Mobility With a Customer-First Approach”
- Kay Wakeman; “The Changing Vehicle Fleet and its Impact on Safety and Insurance”
- Kim Frasher, Erin Solis and Laura Kottschade; “Repair Planning 101”
- Cheryl Baswell and Kathy Coffey; “Financial Literacy”
- Lisa Ferguson; “Anatomy of a Car”
The event will also feature an industry panel with stakeholders from across the industry discussing ways to create a welcoming culture, and a networking session will follow.
In addition to this programming, there will also be the annual WIN Scholarship Walk, which can be registered for during conference registration. Contributions can also be made separately.
Other features include a Recycled Rides giveaway, with four restored vehicles gifted to deserving families, and a new themed welcome reception–Party like it’s 1999! During this reception, guests will be encouraged to wear 90s attire and trade friendship bracelets.
Also new to the 2024 conference is the addition of limited-edition “swag bags” which are available for pre-purchase at the time of conference registration for all in-person attendees, to be picked up at the time of arrival on site.
Early bird registration is open through March 1, 2024; a virtual attendance option is available. WIN members who register by the March 1 early-bird deadline will receive a discounted rate of $575; after that, the member cost increases to $680. The ticket rate for non-members is $725. Registration for in-person attendees closes on April 26. Anyone preferring to join virtually may do so for $250.
