Toronto, Ontario — The Collision Repair Education Foundation (CREF) was selected as one of the ten participating charities in the LKQ Cares Holiday Vote Fundraiser for this year.
Each of the ten charities will automatically receive $50,000 from the LKQ Community Foundation. However, there is an additional $500,000 available for donation.
Until December 8, there will be an online voting period for any individual across the globe to vote online (one vote per day, per device) in support of the ten charities.
The percentage of votes that a charity receives from the available ten will determine the percentage of the $500,000 that will be donated to them.
Besides CREF, the other available charities include: the American Cancer Foundation, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Environmental Defence Fund, the Children’s Miracle Network, UNICEF, SkillsUSA, the World Food Program, Ben Support for Life, and the Ocean Cleanup.
CREF is the only collision industry-exclusive charity participating in the event.
