Toronto, Ont – CARSTAR is ringing in the holiday season with a special giveaway for the citizens of St. Thomas, Ont.
Earlier last week, it was announced that CARSTAR’s St. Thomas location had partnered up with local radio station, St. Thomas Today (94. 1 myFM) to give five deserving citizens $300 gift cards and a chance to be on the radio.
Titled “The Five Days of Giving,” the contest was created to give a little bit of extra help to those in need around the holiday season.
“The festive holiday season can sometimes be difficult for some individuals or families,” stated St. Thomas Today earlier this week. “Which is why CARSTAR Collision & Glass wants to help.”
The contest, closed on Dec. 12, was searching for charities, families, or individuals particularly in need to be nominated. Online, nominators were asked to describe who they were nominating and why they believed said person should win.
This isn’t the only festive initiative a CARSTAR location has done this holiday season. Earlier this month, Comox Valley’s collision centre, CARSTAR Courtenay decided to help out this holiday season by donating more than $500 worth of food to a local food bank.
“The only reason we can be in the position to make donations like this are because of all the hard work our employees put in every day, at both locations,” stated Courtenay CARSTAR owner, Ryan Isherwood.
CARSTAR encourages St.Thomas listeners to tune in tomorrow to 94.1 FM to hear the results of the contest.
