A Stomping Good Time: Simplicity Car Care celebrates Calgary Stampede with its fourth annual Stampede party

Calgary, Alberta — On July 12th, Simplicity Car Care held its fourth annual stampede party at Hallmark Autobody which featured over 300 guests from the industry as well as over a dozen industry partners.

The event took place from 3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. MDT, with guests enjoying live music from Calgary’s own Lori Kole and later in the evening, from Scott Nicholsson. Guests also enjoyed a good old fashioned summer barbeque with a variety of food and drinks served starting at 5:00 p.m.

Greg Wing, director of brand development for Simplicity Car Care commented that the annual Stampede Party “is an amazing opportunity to celebrate our industry. Not worried about what coloured shirt you wear every day, the Calgary Stampede is part of Canada’s heritage and the DNA of Alberta. We open our arms to the world every year for ten days and Simplicity opens theirs to the entire industry.”

Wing further commented that the live music was a hit with guests with the performers offering both important cultural messaging along with music to dance the night away.

“Lori Kole sang a song that’s once again on the Canadian charts, ‘Annie,’ which is a tribute to the missing Indigenous women in the country. Following this, guests enjoyed one of the best piano players to ever tickle the keys in Las Vegas, Nevada, Scott Nicholsson. With 20 plus years of experience with Dueling Pianos on the Las Vegas strip, Nicholsson took guests into the late hours of the night with a high energy, all requests show.”

“The owners and staff of Simplicity Car Care Calgary Central, led by Franco and Rob Borelli, open their location up to us and everyone for the day. The amazing family that is Simplicity Car Care is going out of our way to make sure The Calgary Stampede is memorable

“We can plan, we can buy food and beverages and hire a band and that makes it an event. All the people that came, that’s what made it a party,” said Wing “Thank you everyone that attended and made this the best event ever! And a special thank you to everyone for not booing me off the stage when I got up and played guitar and sang with the band!”
