Toronto, Ontario — The Collision Industry Electronic Commerce Association has named an auto recycling legend–Jeff Schroder, founder of Car-Part, as its vice-chair for 2020.
Others named to the group’s board include California Casualty Management’s George Best, who will serve as the secretary, and Enterprise Holding’s Kim Devallance-Caron, who takes over from Mitchell International’s Phil Martinez.
Schroder has been a significant figure in both the U.S. and Canadian auto recycling sectors.
Schroder previously served as the board of trustees’ treasurer. Schroder’s company was also a recent recipient of the CIECA E-Commerce Company of the Year Award.
At the time, then-ARA president David Gold of Ontario’s Standard Auto Wreckers, said, “As a recycler, I feel very fortunate [Jeff Schroder] has embraced our industry and expects to see the recycled parts market place flourish.”
Founded in 1998, Car-Part has more than 100 million inventoried parts in their online database. Results can be sorted by price, grade, or distance.
