Toronto, Ontario — Team IAA is raising money for Food Banks Canada this holiday season with a goal of helping to reduce hunger throughout the country.
On average, Food Banks Canada has to provide 650 food banks with resources, and IAA is aiming to help lighten this load through a donation matching charity event.
Specifically, IAA has pledged to match all donations made to Food Banks Canada up to a total of $14,000 with the mission statement that “no one in Canada should go hungry this holiday season,” the company said in a press release.
According to a HungerCount 2023 report, 1,935,911 Canadians accessed food banks during the year and this marks an increase of 32 percent when compared to 2022.
