Toronto, Ontario — Honda is taking its first steps into the electric vehicle world; and based on the name they have given their debut, this upcoming SUV is the beginning of a much longer story.
Honda unveiled the Prologue all-electric SUV on Thursday, featuring what the company calls a “neo-rugged” exterior, paired with a spacious and stylish interior, coming standard with a fully digital 11-inch driver display panel and an 11.3-inch audio/connectivity display, that is aimed to complement Honda’s current light truck lineup.
The Prologue’s body was designed at the Honda Design Studio in Los Angeles, where the decision was made to give the unreleased SUV a generously sized panoramic sunroof, as well as a front fascia that the company says will be distinctive of the brand’s EVs going forward.
The Prologue will be made available in an exclusive North Shore Pearl exterior colour, inspired from the natural beauty and colours near Lake Tahoe in California, according to Honda.
“Our goal was to create a clean harmony based on a rugged SUV image by coordinating the colours and materials to express neo-rugged design styling that’s familiar to our customers and uniquely Honda,” said Honda design lead for colour, materials and finish, Masaki Sumimoto.
Honda says to expect the launch of the Prologue at some point in 2024.
