A Day of Surprises: CARSTAR MK Auto Group hosts annual Customer Appreciation event 2024

Okotoks, Alberta CARSTAR Okotoks hosted its annual Customer Appreciation event on June 15th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with a phenomenal turnout of 500 attendees, and over 700 burgers and 200 hotdogs served, at the celebration. The event featured a range of activities catering to all ages and emphasized CARSTAR Okotoks’ longstanding commitment to its community.

Attendees included enthusiastic customers, children enjoying activities, parents engaging with local businesses, representatives from the Shriners and an appearance from the Okotoks Food Bank, highlighting the event’s community focus.

“We’ve been holding the event every year for the past 30 years, to thank our customers for their support,” said Mark Kharfan, President of CARSTAR Okotoks – MK Auto Group. “We want to show appreciation to our customers, and show them that we’re always thinking of the community by inviting people to attend our event and by donating to the local food bank.”

Activities ranged from bouncy houses for children, to giveaways of Pokémon cards and CARSTAR goodies such as sunglasses and CARSTAR’s octopus plush toy, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy. The event also emphasized the team’s ongoing partnership with the Okotoks Food Bank, with proceeds from food sales going directly to support local families in need. There was a donation of $710, along with CARSTAR Okotoks matching it, making the donation $1420 towards the Okotoks food bank.

“This event shows a different side of us. We’re not just a body shop,” continued Kharfan. “We want to show our community involvement. The collision repair industry needs to be involved in the community. Not just in donating, but just getting the community more involved in your business by being involved with the food bank or local sports teams. I think it’s important that we’re involved.”

The success of the Customer Appreciation 2024 event was made possible by the dedication of CARSTAR MK Auto Group’s staff, who volunteered their time to set up, served, and cleaned up, and ensured a seamless experience for the over 500 attendees.
