Halifax, Nova Scotia — Skills Canada Nova Scotia has announced upcoming competitions for automotive post-secondary students meant to test them on a variety of industry-related skills.
Notably, on March 28, 2025 at the NSCC Akerley Campus in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Skills Canada Nova Scotia will be holding a car painting competition to test students on everything from surface cleaning to surface preparation, minor damage repair, colour matching and more.
Additionally, on April 11, 2025 at the NSCC Sydney Waterfront Campus, post-secondary automotive students will also be able to compete in the category of heavy vehicle technology repair.
Here, competitors will be judged on their ability to correctly inspect, repair and adjust detached and/or mounted parts, as compared to industry standards.
Registration for both competitions is open online until February 13.
