Hamilton, Ontario — CARSTAR has announced a new organizational structure for its Canadian business.
CARSTAR said its team is investing heavily in resources to ensure the path forward is forged with data-backed decisions and subject matter experts who understand the landscape. The new organizational structure will include four key departments: strategy and analytics, claims services, insurance and promotion/development.
Tony Mammone will now serve as CARSTAR vice president of strategy and analytics, leading the department’s efforts while armed with a deep understanding of the repair process and experience in trend analysis.
Vince Matozzo, vice president of claims services, will continue overseeing this department, including the call centre. Now Director of Franchisee Performance, Marty Smith will join Matozzo, focused on operational excellence, building key infrastructures to support case management, estimate reviewing and overseeing the case management team.
Adam Ceifets, vice president of insurance for the collision and glass teams, will continue to lead the CARSTAR insurance team.
Technological expert Bill Davidge, now CARSTAR’s director of innovation of technology, will also join the insurance team to provide subject matter expert support to company partners.
CARSTAR also said its newly-formed promotion and development team is bringing back regional promotional support to the field team to ultimately drive enhanced services. The new leader of this department, Dave Foster, vice president of network promotion and development, will focus on supporting the field team while supporting procurement and development efforts. Zone directors and their subsequent area managers will report to Foster.
Collin Welsh will also rejoin the field team, leading the Ontario region and Ontario area managers of operations.
“As we focus on our Canadian business and identify areas of opportunity, we have a unique chance to really get back to our roots,” says Jeff Labanovich, chief operating officer, CARSTAR Canada. “To do that, we must have the right structure in place to support our valued customers and we are excited to have these tenured team members leading these new departments.”
“These new leaders are already firing on all cylinders as we have Bill Davidge leading an ADAS and calibration training event next week for our valued industry partners and franchise family, and Dave Foster is already in the field supporting our stores in Alberta,” said Labanovich. “These new departments provide incredible support for our 2023 plans and I’m excited about the opportunities in front of our CARSTAR Canada franchise family.”
