Whitecap Dakota First Nation, Saskatchewan — The Saskatchewan Association of Automotive Repairers (SAAR) just wrapped up its annual fall conference over the weekend, drawing in some of the biggest names in Western Canada’s aftermarket industry and beyond.
As is tradition, this year’s SAAR Fall Conference opened with a friendly golf tournament on the grounds of the Dakota Dunes Resort and Casino.
Event organizers shouted out Kim Kos of CSN Kavia Auto Body, and her team, for their hard work in organizing this year’s golf tournament, as well as the swag bags and prizes that went along with it.
The show pressed on with its full lineup of speakers and panel discussions, leading off with a keynote address from Ralph Meichtry and Tom Parnell from BETAG. Afterwards, breakout sessions were led by AutoHouse Technologies’ Mike Gilliland and Sharon Ashely from Micazen Technologies.
This year’s show floor was graced by exhibitors representing a number of aftermarket influencers, including Solera, 3M, Axalta, Fix Network, CARSTAR, Spanesi, PPG and many, many others.
The show closed with a question and answer session between representatives from SGI Canada and those from Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s auto body department, which SAAR referred to on its Facebook page as a “Great end to a great event!”
