Stuttgart, Germany — Porsche announced a new luxury vehicle for lovers of classic Americana on Monday—diners, apple pie and the 2023 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet, America Edition.
The design echoes its 1952 predecessor designed for the North American market—open-topped, with rear-wheel-drive and seven-speed manual transmission. Those who want this car for its on-road performance will be pleased to know that its historic look does not mean 1950s performance.
According to Porsche, the GTS Cabriolet boasts a twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre boxer six-cylinder engine, active suspension, sports exhausts and sports chrono. Add-ons like ceramic brakes, rear axle steering and exterior decal packages by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur are also available for those who demand the best from their rides.
The GTS Cabriolet will reach showrooms later this year as part of the 2023 model line, with prices between $184,920 to US$192,430 (USD), excluding additional charges.
