Toronto, Ontario — Acura Canada is making a difference simply by selling cars, as the automaker announced that the online auction of a 2022 Acura NSX Type S has led to the donation of $306,364.90 to Make-a-Wish Canada.
In what has turned out to be the Make-a-Wish’s largest one-time donation by a single donor, Acura’s donation will go toward fulfilling the dreams of Canadian children, as well as those of auction winners Luc Girard and Geneviève Hardy, who are long-term supporters of the Honda Canada Foundation.
“Having young children of our own, we can see that wishes can help grow, flourish and create hope. We are happy to be able to help many children have their wishes come true,” said Hardy.
Make-A-Wish Canada interim CEO Lyanne Goulin said “The strength of our partners gives way to unique moments like this one.
“We are so grateful to Mr. Girard and Ms. Hardy for this transformative gift that will have a direct and immediate impact on our mission. As a result of COVID-19, thousands of wishes are now waiting and donations like this help to make sure that when safer times occur, no child must wait for their already delayed wish.”
