PITTSBURGH–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Liberty Tire Recycling, North America’s leading provider of tire collection and recycling services, today announced that employee generosity at their locations across the U.S. and Canada resulted in food, gift and financial donations to 39 families and raised in excess of $42,000 during the holiday season.
Starting in November, each Liberty location “adopted” an area family and provided gifts, meals and financial contributions from local employees. Liberty locations eased the financial burdens of struggling families with new furniture, appliances and grocery gift cards, and made holiday wishes come true with toys, sports equipment, video games and craft supplies for kids across the country.
“I am proud of the caring and compassionate people we have at our locations,” said Liberty CEO Thomas Womble. “Our 2,700 employees are not only committed to sustainability and environmental stewardship, but during the holidays were focused on serving their communities. I would like to thank everyone who gave so generously to local families this holiday season.”
