Laval, Quebec — July 13, 2015 — Carrossier ProColor recently took part in a community clean-up event of the Montagne-des-Roches Mountain.
Volunteers from Carrossier ProColor and LKQ Pintendre gathered on June 6 at the mountain, located near Charlesbourg and Beauport, and helped remove more than 10 tons of waste from the immediate environment during the PurNat-organized event.
“Through our actions, we want to protect nature and its inhabitants,” says Marcel Poiré, CEO and co-founder of PurNat. “Cleaning the Montagne-des-Roches Mountain is the gesture … that will enable citizens to benefit fully from nature.”
Mary Jayne de Villers, Communications and Marketing Coordinator at Carrossier ProColor, says the company was pleased to have been able to work with PurNat and do their part to preserve the environment through the participation of the company’s volunteers.
“We would like to thank Yvon Bernier and his son from Carrossier ProColor Armand-Paris in Beauport as well as Jérôme Bolduc from head office for contributing to the success of this operation by generously donating their time,” says de Villers.
Combined with the initial mountainside clean-up in November 2014, more than 25 tons of waste — including metal, plastic, building materials and household waste — have been removed from the mountain.
