Most Important Meal: UniglassPlus/Ziebart to exchange rust treatment for school breakfasts

Hamilton, Ontario — UniglassPlus/Ziebart is partnering up with the Breakfast Club of CanadaTM to bring meals to those most in need in our country.

The Driven Brands subsidiary has committed to providing a nutritious breakfast for every rust protection treatment that they complete from Sept. 1 to Oct. 31.

“The most vulnerable part of your vehicle is the underbody, which can experience harsh damage from the ice, salt and gravel that accompany the winter season,” said Maurice Filion, president of Driven Brands subsidiary Uniban.

“This damage can unfortunately lead to rust, so it’s best to apply rust protection now, to safeguard your vehicle. This fall, customers can care for their vehicle and give back to an incredible cause while doing it.”

The Breakfast Club of Canada reports that, in Canada, nearly two million children risk going to school on an empty stomach, which represents one in three Canadian children.

Additionally, business closures due to the ongoing pandemic have led to a rise in unemployment and poverty therefore increasing the number of people experiencing food insecurity across the country.

“It is a privilege to be able to work with such a dedicated partner who is committed to the cause and wants to make a difference,” said Marie-Ève Desrochers, senior advisor of corporate partnerships, Breakfast Club of Canada.

“In the past year, the Club has seen a significant increase in attendance and in the need for additional breakfast programs. It is thanks to the support of partners like UniglassPlus/Ziebart that we can continue to reach more and more children every day.”
