Markham, Ontario — August 11, 2014 — Discount Car & Truck Rentals held its annual charity golf tournament on Friday, August 8 at Angus Glen Golf Club in Markham, Ont. Insurance partners, collision repairers and auto manufacturers were in attendance to play golf and help Discount Car & Truck Rentals meet its fundraising goals.
The tournament raised funds in support of the Chase McEachern Tribute Fund, which campaigns to place Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in schools, hockey arenas, and other public places. To date, AEDs provided by the Fund have contributed to saving 68 lives across Ontario.
The tournament took place at Angus Glen’s south course. It was a new experience, even for those familiar with the course, as the club has recently redesigned the south course for the Toronto Pan Am Games, taking place July 10 to July 26, 2015.
