Four Square: Cox Automotive Canada announces additions to senior leadership team

Mississauga, Ontario — Cox Automotive Canada is bringing out the big guns with the appointment of four industry experts to its senior leadership team, according to a press release from Monday.

Laurent Villanueva, Paula Rietta, Ray Ramotar and Brian Murphy are the latest to join the team at Cox Automotive and will report directly to company president, Maria Soklis.

“These leaders will further strengthen and diversify our leadership capability through their vast knowledge and experience and will play a strong role in supporting our organization as we transform the way the world buys, sells, owns and uses cars,” said Maria Soklis.

Villanueva having most recently served as executive VP of client services at Dealer-FX, making him a natural choice for the position of chief customer officer at Cox. He is also fully bilingual.

Rietta brings legal expertise, thanks to her time at Ford Credit Canada as VP of the legal department, and will take on the role of general counsel and risk for Cox Automotive Canada and Brazil.

Managing the money side of things, Ramotar will be the new managing director of dealer lender solutions (NextGear Capital) for Cox, having made his name as director of operations at BMO Automotive Finance.

Finally, Murphy will use his skills as a research and marketing expert in his new role as managing director of KBB and data solutions. He was previously VP of research and analytics at Canadian Black Book.
