Regina, Saskatchewan — Saskatchewan Government Insurance (SGI) has announced an extension to the deadline for shops to meet the new Safe and Quality Auto Repair Program (SQARP).
The effective date for repair shops to meet the new accreditation requirements has been extended to July 1, 2021.
“We had hoped everyone would have a chance to complete the required training before March 1, 2021, but due to COVID-19 restrictions impacting the availability of in-person training last year, that hasn’t been the case,” the crown insurer wrote in a bulletin to Saskatchewan collision repair centres.
“We know that many shops were ready to meet the March 1 deadline, and we thank you for your diligence as well as your patience.”
Important upcoming dates include:
March 1: Medallia will be available for shops that wish to access to Cx portal
June 30: Target deadline to return your signed copy of the new Master Services Agreement and completed Self-Declaration to SGI Appraisal services.
July 1: SQARP GOES LIVE; New minimum training, tools and equipment requirements come into effect, deadline to access minimum tooling, training and OEM certification incentives.
