Toronto, Ontario – The Automotive Industries Association of Canada (AIA) is saddened to announce the passing of Michel Tremblay, on Jan. 5.
Tremblay was a lifelong advocate for workforce relations and skills training in the automotive industry and served as executive director of the Quebec division of AIA from 2012 to 2016.
The press release from AIA described Tremblay as “an exceptional collaborator thanks to his unwavering commitment, his great passion, his respect, his constructive and sympathetic approach, and his in-depth knowledge of the various political spheres.”
In October of 2014, Mr. Tremblay received the Pinnacle Award, the highest honour of the Canadian Society of Association Executives, in recognition of the extraordinary and outstanding leadership he demonstrated during his distinguished career.
Due to current health restrictions, Tremblay’s funeral and memorial service will be held at a later date.
