Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania — The Pittsburgh Penguins announced an addition to the team’s partnership with PPG, making them the first company to ever be featured on Penguin equipment.
“PPG is proud to be highlighted on the Pittsburgh Penguins’ player helmets this season,” said Bryan Iams, PPG vice president, corporate and government affairs. “This is a unique opportunity to showcase our brand and further extend our naming rights partnership at all Penguins home and away games.”
The Pens named PPG logo will be featured on all the players’ helmets for all home and away games as their “official helmet entitlement partner,” for the 2020-21 season. The logo will be located on the left and right sides of the player’s helmets.
“It’s exciting to expand our long-term partnership with PPG, an iconic Pittsburgh company, by providing additional exposure to millions of fans, viewers and social media followers across the world – especially during our games at PPG Paints Arena, said David Morehouse, president, and CEO of the team, in a recent statement.
“Through our strong partnership with the Penguins, PPG continues to look for ways to further integrate its brand and products into the game of hockey,” said Iams. “The Official Helmet Entitlement Sponsorship allows the league to create an additional partnership touchpoint and extend PPG recognition to fans throughout the season.”
