Toronto, Ontario — Toyota Canada Inc. reported its fourth consecutive month of record electrified vehicle sales, up 30.3 percent with 4,558 units sold in October, and now representing 21.6 percent of its overall sales on the strength of rising demand for vehicles such as the Toyota Highlander Hybrid, RAV4 Hybrid, Camry Hybrid, Lexus UX, and Prius Prime Plug-In Hybrid.
The automaker reported overall sales of 21,100 vehicles during the month, up 1.5% compared to the same period last year.
Toyota reported its best month ever for truck sales, with 15,867 units sold, up 3.7 percent. Led by the RAV4 (6,924 units sold, up 9.1 percent), Highlander (1,551 units sold, up 13.5 percent) and Tacoma (1,970 units sold, up 82.7 percent), all with October records.
