Fresh Coates: Uni-Select appoints Doug Coates as VP of western region

Toronto, Ontario – Uni-Select Canada has announced that Doug Coates will be taking up the role of senior vice-president of the company’s western region, as part of their recent restructuring efforts.

Starting Dec. 1, the global parts supplier will be operating under an east/west management system, with Coates leading in the west and Jason Best in his newly expanded role leading Uni-Select’s eastern region.

Coates previously served as the CEO of Lordco, Canada’s largest privately held automotive parts distributor and is a pillar in the industry, from 2014-2018.
Uni-Select’s president and CEO, Brent Windom, celebrated the company’s new hire in a press release.

“Doug will be a great addition to the team as he brings with him a wealth of market experience and stores knowledge to support our corporate stores and Members partners,” said Windom.

Windom continued, “As with our most recent acquisition of Pièces d’Auto St-Jean’s two new stores, we are confident that today’s strategic organizational changes  will continue to improve our focus and execution in order to pave the way to our continued success in the Canadian market.”
