Grande Prairie, Alberta – According to an online media release, a new online reporting tool, known as “Start From Home,” is now available for drivers involved in a collision in Grande Prairie, Alta.
According to the city of Grande Prairie, the program reportedly allows drivers to initiate a report to the Collision Reporting Centre (CRC) from a smartphone or computer.
Notably, drivers can initiate the collision reporting process by clicking on the “Start From Home” tab under the CRC information form. Once the required form has been completed, the driver will then be given a reference number to bring to the CRC within 24 hours so that documents can then be verified and final details can then be reported.
Moreover, according to the online media release, the goal of the “Start From Home” initiative is to help reduce wait times by allowing drivers to complete 85 percent of the reporting process in advance.
Managing Director of Grande Prairie Enforcement Services, Helen Napier commented in the release that “the City of Grande Prairie and ASSI value being able to provide an even more convenient and streamlined process for collision reporting with the addition of “Start From Home.” This additional feature means fewer worries for drivers involved in a collision.”
