London, Ontario — CARSTAR London East and CARSTAR London West recently teamed up to participate in the Rockin’ The Stockin’ toy drive in an attempt to help children in need receive a present this holiday season.
Hosted by the Classic Rock 98.1 radio station and the Real Canadian Superstore Oxford St. East in the London Ont., area, the toy drive’s annual goal is specifically to “help make sure that children in need get to experience the joy of opening gifts on Christmas morning.”
The drive collected donations in three age categories—infants and toddlers, ages three to eight and ages nine to 12—with participating businesses eligible to win a $1,000-valued advertising package in exchange.
As noted in a recent LinkedIn post from CARSTAR Canada, together, CARSTAR London East and CARSTAR London West donated $500 worth of toys from each location, and further collected another $300 worth of donations from customers and community members.
