Edmonton, Alberta — On Jan. 21, more than 80 companies arrived on the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology campus for the college’s career fair.
From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., NAIT students and alumni were invited to the Centre for Applied Technology, where 96 different companies were prepared to pitch their businesses to attendees and, hopefully, attract some top talent in the process.
The event offered plenty of opportunities for automotive body repair and technician students, with employers like AIA Canada, Fountain Tire and Kal Tire in attendance.
NAIT also hosted a series of informative workshops prior to its career fair, with resume and cover letter writing workshops, industry resume consults and How to Dress for Success sessions, NAIT made sure its students were prepared for a day of invaluable networking opportunities.
“It was an incredible day at the career fair!” wrote NAIT’s Facebook page following the event. “A big thank you to all the staff, students and industry partners who made this day possible!”
‘Tis the season for job fairs—Assured Automotive also recently co-hosted a career fair at its head office in Mississauga, Ont. with job search engine Indeed, while members of AIA Canada’s Manitoba Division were working hard to promote the automotive aftermarket at Winnipeg’s Red River College for its job fair last week.
