Toronto, Ontario — Who knew a parrot or puppy could be the best wingman for shop morale and customer charm? A recent video from CBC News highlights how shop pets can help foster a healthier working environment for both workers and customers.
In the video showcasing shop pets from various professions, Anne Hauck, general manager of Western Autobody in Regina, Saskatchewan commented to CBC News that while her African Grey parrot Pepper is at times, “messy, controlling and bossy,” he is “very friendly, loves people and even loves to go into the shop when the weather is warm enough.”
Hauck further highlighted how “most customers find Pepper pretty interesting,” and he often fosters positive relationships with customers while also helping Western Autobody to be a stand-out shop in customers’ minds.
As a result, if you’re thinking about adopting a new furry, feathered, or who knows, maybe even scaly friend, for the pet owners featured in the video, the experience is one of a kind, bar none—or in this case, perhaps “paw none.”
