Shuswap, British Columbia — Canadian auto fans will be thrilled that the fifth season of HISTORY’s Rust Valley Restorers has premiered via STACK TV. New episodes of the show will be available for streaming via STACK TV every Thursday at 9 p.m. ET.
Mike Hall, Avery Shoaf, Connor Hall and the whole gang in Tappen, B.C., are eager for the season to air—they filmed the episodes over a year ago. Mike and Connor have been too busy practicing their original crafts—rock blasting.
“I was starting to forget what cars we even built,” said Mike, who added that they did some “amazing builds.”
This beloved group of auto enthusiasts said they’ve extended their horizons on the upcoming season and plenty of the builds hold immense sentimental value.
When we spoke to Mike Hall this past January, he teased some “pretty sweet” build featured in the upcoming season. One of those builds was a 1970 Dodge Coronet R/T that was little more than a VIN and fender tag.
“There were only 400 of those built. We’re painting it Sublime Green.”
Mike had weaned down his 400+ car collection since the last season aired, ending with 40 vehicles in his collection…but he told Collision Repair in January that he had acquired more than a hundred cars since then.
Another project Mike’s teasing for season 5—a 1974 Austin Mini complete with a Union Jack on the roof.
Mike told the Revelstoke Review that the six years of filming with the Rust Valley crew have been nothing short of incredible.
“I started filming [this show] at 60; next thing you know we’re on Netflix in 190 countries,” he told the paper. “I’m almost 68 now. I worked for 50 years, the rest of my time I like playing with cars.
“I’ve still got 100 years left. I don’t see me running out of projects anytime soon.”
