Montreal, Quebec — It was fitting that the iconic Rialto Theatre in Montreal played host to Simplicity Car Care’s 2024 Growth Conference. As it had in the past, what was on stage enthralled the audience on the opening day of the two-day event.
A rousing and inspiring opening speech by CEO Paul Prochilo set the tone for the day, with more than 130 Simplifiers in attendance from more than 105 shops in seven provinces. Outlining Simplicity’s strategic growth and clearly stating objectives moving forward, Prochilo delved into the company’s mission to lead the collision repair industry toward sustainability. He opened up the challenge not just to those present, but to all networks and auto claims economy partners.
“This is a sense of corporate responsibility that must be shared on a personal level. We all have a responsibility to ensure that future generations have a cleaner environment. For example, I want my three-year-old to know I did my best to leave the world a better place.”
Prochilo celebrated the past year’s successes, including advancing the Net Zero program of sustainability; Simplicity’s entry as a Top 500 Growing Corporation; surpassing 100 locations and the focus on capacity management and profitability.
Domenic Ieraci, president, followed up on the stage with some big news–literally big news. Simplicity Truck Care is now open for business with an initial location in Cambridge. Focusing solely on heavy truck repair, the strategy is to cater to what is now an underserved market.
Ieraci continued by explaining how the past year’s successes outline the corporate vision for the future.
“Technology is the key for all of us to improve our processes and hence profitability. We must embrace it and make it work for us wherever we can to improve all aspects and levels.”
The future path for continued success, according to Ieraci, is to leverage technology to support franchisees, especially those who are expanding into MSOs, continue OEM certifications, and to increase consumer brand awareness to enhance profitability.
The key goal of the centralization and tech focus is to create platform services: Capacity Management; Help Desk; Load Levelling; and Virtual Estimatics.
“Keep in mind, through all of this, that quality of life should be your driving force,” said Ieraci. “Our strategy is to optimize business performance and revenue growth while providing a better quality of life.”
