Toronto, Ontario — March 13, 2019 — All week, Collision Repair has been highlighting key findings from of a major report from AutoHouse Technologies on the performance of Canadian collision facilities in 2018. Today, in the final part of the series, we take a closer look at some of the big takeaways from the report’s look at that most important of collision facility metrics — touch times.
In its in-depth analysis of the Canadian collision industry, AutoHouse Technologies found that the average touch time at the average facility remained unchanged in 2018, at 2.6 hours.
Geography, it appears, has a significant impact on touch times. In Western Canada, the average touch time is 2.2 hours, compared to 2.8 in the east.
