Kelowna, British Columbia — At the end of last month, Lift Auto Group sounded a call to action to raise money for the British Columbia wildfires–last week, they announced their success in raising $110,000 in relief funds.
Lift Auto Group initially reached out to their Canada-wide partners and customers to donate to the B.C. wildfire cause with the intention of matching every dollar raised up to $20,000 for a projected charity goal of $40,000.
This goal was more than matched, with participants raising more than double the initial projections.
On their LinkedIn page, Lift Auto Group wrote: “Due to the kindness and generosity of our partners, customers, and employees across Canada, Lift was able to achieve its donation matching goal of $20,000! Your generous contributions will help Okanagan residents more quickly recover from the devastating impacts of the fires that spread through our communities.”
“As the road to rebuilding lives and homes will be a long one, Lift will continue to work with our coast-to-coast partners to maximize the fundraising efforts of these vital charities.”
All proceeds raised will go to: United Way British Columbia, Central Okanagan Food Bank and The Salvation Army.
