Toronto, Ontario — September 20, 2018 — Quebec-based industrial paint company Uni-Select is reviewing their strategic alternatives as they announce the resignation of president and CEO Henry Buckley. The news comes on the heels of another major announcement: that Chris Adams will replace Steven Arndt as the president of Uni-Select subsidiary FinishMaster.

While the company looks for a permanent replacement for Buckley, board chair André Courville has stepped in to serve as the interim CEO. He will remain in her position on the board during her tenure.

“We thank Henry for his years of service and loyalty to Uni-Select and wish him well in his future endeavors. In his long career at FinishMaster, Steve has had an undeniable contribution to the success of creating a market leader in the refinish market and we wish him all the best. Finally, we believe Chris is the right leader to drive FinishMaster forward,” said Courville.

The company has come up with a special committee of independent board members to review a number of strategies. There is no set schedule as to when the next steps will be finalized.
