Newmarket, Ontario — We’re only a little more than a week out from yet another fantastic CARSTAR car wash in support of cystic fibrosis research, going down in Newmarket this time around, courtesy of the Deokinandan family.
If you value charity, family and fantastic barbecue, CARSTAR Newmarket may be the place for you next Saturday, as the family-run repair shop opens its doors to the community for a tradition very close to the hearts of the greater CARSTAR family.
CARSTAR Newmarket director of finance Romena Deokinandan told Collision Repair that staff will be on-hand to offer $5 car washes, with proceeds going to Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
“Alongside CARSTAR staff, the Newmarket mayor and council, the local fire department and the police force will be making an appearance,” said Deokinandan.
“While we get sudsy, guests can enjoy BBQ, music, games with prizes and giveaways, and even a bouncy castle for the little tykes!”
Last year, the family managed to raise well over $1,000 in donations and still had a long line of cars looking for a wash by the time the 1 p.m. closing time rolled around.
CARSTAR Newmarket’s car wash in support of cystic fibrosis research is set for July 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
