Hamilton, Ontario — April 12, 2017 — There are a lot of business books that try to distill managerial excellence, but they tend to be very general in application. A new book by Dave Luehr is the exact opposite. The content is very specific to just one industry: collision repair.
Co-written with Stacey Phillips, Luehr’s The Secrets of America’s Greatest Body Shops is a business book that puts the focus squarely on the autobody business.
Throughout the book, Luehr and Phillips share lessons and real-world stories of actual collision repairers. According to Luehr, these repairers have discovered “secrets” that have propelled them to a much higher level than their competitors.
Among the stories included in the book, Luehr and Williams reveal how Dan Stander of Fix Auto Highlands Ranch addressed the many competitive challenges of consolidation in his city, how Bruce King and his son Chris overcame generational challenges to build a process-driven two-store business and how Tom Tracy of Tracy’s Collision Centers built a strong brand through marketing and community involvement.
The book is available for purchase through bodyshopsecrets.com and through Amazon.
