Communal Efforts: York Police request help from shops to identify green Toyota involved in fatal collision

York, Ontario – York Regional Police are calling on collision centres in the York region and Greater Toronto Area to assist in identifying a dark-coloured Toyota involved in a fatal hit-and-run investigation.

According to a press release posted on Wednesday, a deceased pedestrian was found dead on Sept. 28 around 12 p.m. on Davis Drive, between Bales Road and Warden Avenue. He appears to have been struck by a vehicle between Sept. 27 at 9 p.m., and Sept. 28 at 10 a.m.

The suspected driver is a male wearing reflective clothing, driving a green Toyota truck or SUV, which may have been recently repaired.

York Regional Police is asking anyone with information to contact the Major Collision Investigation Unit by calling 1-866-876-5423, ext. 7704, or to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS, or leave an anonymous tip online at www.1800222tips.com.
