St. Paul, Minnesota — July 24, 2017 — In these modern times, many of us have a world of information right in our pockets. 3M has announced a new app that aims to make accessing information even easier for bodyshop technicians and distributor sales staff. It will be available to download July 26.
The 3M Collision Repair App is free and will be available on the Apple app store. According to a statement from 3M Automotive Aftermarket Division, the app provides quick access to 3M Collision Repair product information, process guides, application videos and standard operating procedures. Bodyshop professionals and sales staff without access to a desktop computer will be able to use this app as an alternative source of information. Besides product ordering information, users can find technical data sheets, safety data sheets, new product announcements, special offers and promotions, as well as news and events. The mobile app also lets users bookmark their favourite content, and email content to others.
“We designed this app to be a clean and user friendly platform where our user customers and the sales people who call on them can quickly find the product information, technical advice and news they need, on the device they have with them everywhere—their smart phone,” said Dale Ross, U.S. Marketing Operations Manager for 3M Automotive Aftermarket Division. “Initially, this is available for Apple phones, but will soon be available for Android phones as well.”
The 3M Collision Repair App runs on iOS 9.0 or later, and is fully compatible with the Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. According to 3M, the app is quick, convenient and easy to use.
