Hamilton, Ontario — As Santa prepares his sleigh, Waterdown Collision Repair Centre got one step ahead of old Saint Nick by holding a 12 Days of Christmas charity toy drive in partnership with CHCH news and the local community.
With a history of charity initiatives such as over $250,000 raised for Cystic Fibrosis Canada and over $25,000 raised for the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada, Waterdown Collision embraced the giving season with its first ever 12 Days of Christmas toy drive.
When speaking to Collision Repair magazine, Nadia Mamone and Domenic DiFelice of Waterdown Collision said that the goal of the event was to engage the local community and help give back to the community.
Over the course of the charity event, any community member who brought in a toy for the drive would have their name entered into a raffle for a chance to receive a prize donated by businesses in the local community.
Waterdown Collision partnered with 13 businesses who offered the prizes listed below:
Finn & Co. Custom Designs — Custom Made Christmas Sign
Red Hill Carwash — VIP Membership for one year
The Keg Steakhouse Waterdown — Dinner for four
Terra Greenhouses — A festive front porch package (Planter, live wreath and door mat)

When discussing the help of these local businesses, Mamone stressed that she didn’t know if the drive would have been as successful without their participation.
In total, the drive received approximately 400 toys for children and their families in need.
