Chances are good that you’re well acquainted with Scotch Performance Masking Tape 233+, manufactured by 3M. But like most people, you probably just call it green tape. Once a product attains such a level of instant familiarity that we scarcely need to speak its name, it’s difficult to remember when it didn’t exist.

Can electromagnetic fields (EMF) damage your health? Even though there has never been conclusive scientific evidence establishing a relationship between EMF and cancer, there are some who continue to suggest that it can have adverse health consequences. Power lines, WiFi, cell phones, etc., all emit EMF.

With waterborne on the way, one of your most pressing challenges will be adjusting to the curing time. Waterborne requires more time to dry because water has a higher evaporation point than the hydrocarbons used in solvent-based paint. Fortunately, this problem is easily dealt with. A proper air acceleration system can bring curing time for waterborne close to that of a solvent-based paint.

Larry DeFrance pulls up to Don Valley Volkswagen at 6:30 a.m. He’s early, but two of his employees are already at work. He takes a minute to look over his shop: quiet, immaculate from last night’s clean up, and he feels proud. He has good reason. The shop has recently converted to environmentally friendly low-VOC paint. Larry smiles because of his shop’s reduced environmental footprint. He takes one last look and then heads to his office to get to work.
