I-CAR’s Annual Meeting ook place August 2 - 6 at the Fairmont San Jose, located in San Jose, CA.
The meeting brough together leaders of the collision industry from across the United States, Canada, and New Zealand to address current trends and issues in the industry.
Those in attendance had the the opportunity to learn about new products and technologies, as well as a chance to share ideas with other industry stakeholders. The theme for this year’s meeting was “Getting Revved Up for Training.”
An important highlight was the announcement of the 2006 - 2007 Executive Committee. Two Canadians hold seats: Robby Robbs of Nobilas is the new Chair and Sam Pezzullo of State Farm Insurance Canada now holds the position of Treasurer.
The meeting also provided an excellent opportunity to learn about new technology and the new processes that were displayed by several participating vendors.
Of special note, representatives from Celette talked about new technologies in resistant welding that will help to reduce or even eliminate guess work and ensure more accurate welding on newer materials such as boron steel.
