The episode features Liz Blackman, Collision Hub’s resident Social Media Expert, in conversation with Kristen Felder.

Sherwin-Williams releases first quarter 2012 Canadian training schedule

Mississauga, Ontario -- December 15, 2011 -- Designed to help Canadian automotive collision professionals enhance productivity, maximize profitability and meet the latest regulations, Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes announced it will offer a number of classes and training sessions in the first quarter of 2012. 

According to Sherwin-Williams, the upcoming courses will blend classroom learning with hands-on exercises and training techniques, as well as sound business-building theories. Classes will be held at Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes training centres or community training facilities, located in Canadian metropolitan areas including Mississauga, Sherbrooke and Vancouver. 

According to Bob Leibel, Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes Director of Sales and Operations, Canada, the company will provide guidance and share best practices on an extensive number of topics for collision repair management and technicians. Classes will include painter certification, the latest AWX® waterborne system applications and colour blending. There will also be a class instructing new Sherwin-Williams Automotive jobbers.

MSO Symposium delivers value in first effort

Calgary, Alberta -- October 28, 2011 -- Over two years ago, the teachers in the Auto Body and Fabrication program at Father Lacombe High School in Calgary found themselves facing a difficult decision: Invest in new equipment, or shut down. Rejecting the latter, they had to ask themselves some serious questions: How can we encourage the younger generation to pursue a career in the auto body field? Achieving this, how can we better equip them with the tools they will need to succeed in today’s industry?
