The basic estimating course will be held in Fanshawe College's Z building, home of the college's Centre for Applied Transportation Technologies.

Hamilton, Ontario -- January 31, 2017 -- Registration is now open for the next class of Collision Industry Information Assistance’s (CIIA) basic estimating collision repair training course, taking place in London, Ontario at Fanshawe College.

This marks the 21st year that CIIA has run the course. The basic estimating course is designed to help shop or office employees, new estimators and insurance company staff who may need assistance in estimating collision damage on cars and light trucks in Ontario.

The course includes introduction to estimating, understanding vehicle construction, fundamentals of estimate writing, understanding collision manuals, additional charges and collision damage analysis.

The cost is $550, plus HST, per person for CIIA members and $750, plus HST, per person, for non-members. Prepayment is mandatory.

Employers may be eligible for a rebate totaling two-thirds of the course cost. Students can register by contacting the CIIA office at 1-866-309-4272 or e-mailing info@ciia.com.

The upcoming course runs over two full days in London on February 10 and 11 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The course will be held at Fanshawe College’s Z building at 1764 Oxford St. E.
