Calgary, Alberta -- June 27, 2012 -- CARSTAR's Alberta stores are doing their part to make sure local insurers know the ins-and-outs of paintless dent repair and estimating techniques. Over 55 representatives from CARSTAR’s insurance partners attended a paintless dent repair estimating and techniques training seminar at two CARSTAR Collision & Glass Centres, CARSTAR Calgary Excel and CARSTAR Edmonton West.

The course helped educate attendees on both theoretical and practical Paintless Dent Repair estimating and techniques. PDR students who successfully completed the course were eligible to receive one I-CAR point. Various Alberta CARSTAR franchise partners also attended the seminars to discuss the training with the insurance attendees.

“Hosting these sessions in Alberta is very beneficial as they ultimately lead to our insurance partners having a greater understanding of PDR repair and estimating techniques,” said Andrew Faulds, Alberta Regional Manager for CARSTAR. “Our region experiences frequent hail storms and this training definitely becomes an asset during a hail or catastrophic event.

Vince Matozzo, Account Manager for CARSTAR and Doug Best, General Manager for Canadian Hail Repair mediated the sessions.

The CARSTAR Catastrophe Solution is executed through CARSTAR’s key hail repair Partner, Canadian Hail Repair. The program is an in-depth catastrophe management program that provides best in class training for CARSTAR’s insurance partners.

CARSTAR’s Paintless Dent Repair training sessions were launched in early 2012, as part of CARSTAR’s Quality System. The CARSTAR Quality System offers multiple training and continuous improvement courses in a variety of categories, to help educate CARSTAR’s partners.
