St. Catharines, Ontario -- November 1, 2012 -- It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George Dingman. Our sincere condolences go out to Wally Dingman, Chairman of the Ontario Automotive Recyclers Association and Auto Recyclers of Canada Boards, and to the entire Dingman family and staff at Caughill Auto Wreckers. George passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 31 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on his 69th birthday.
He will be missed by his loving wife of 46 years, Mary, and his cherished sons Wally (Ingrid) and Brad (Denise). Devoted grandfather of Amanda, Jessica, Adam, Zach, Bridgette and Josh. He will be missed by his sister Gloria (Jim) Baker and brother Cecil (Debbie) Dingman. Also survived by his many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents George and Francis.
George was the owner and operator of Caughill Auto Wreckers for 50 years.
George's family will receive visitors at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Friday, November 2 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. There will be a private family funeral service at a later date with burial in Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery.
If desired, memorial donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
