Toronto, Ontario -- October 11, 2012 -- Impact Auto Auctions has announced that its new Impact Toronto facility opened and began accepting assignments on October 9, with auction sales beginning in mid-November. The new facility is located at 535 Wentworth Street in Oshawa, Ont. Auction sale dates will be announced in the near future. “Everyone at Impact is excited to be wrapping up construction and opening the doors on this fabulous facility,” said Terry Daniels, Impacts Managing Director. "After years of searching, months of construction, and countless hours of effort by many in our organization,
we are thrilled to bring this state-of-the-art auction centre to our Toronto area customers.
While new assignments will be directed to the Oshawa location as of October 9th, auction sales of existing inventory will continue in Stouffville until mid-November. Impact’s sales team will contact customers directly in coming days with a detailed transition plan and tentative auction schedule for both the Oshawa and Stouffville locations.
The company has also announced plans to celebrate the history of Impact Stouffville, including the employees and customers who have been instrumental to its success over the past 25 years. Beginning in October and running through the final sale in November, Impact will pay homage to Impact Stouffville with a number of promotions and special events.
The new Impact Toronto location features 37 acres of vehicle storage as well as a 12,000 sq. ft. office, auction, and inspection building. The facility will increase Impact’s GTA storage capacity by 60 per cent, housing 5,500 vehicles. The site also features office and training space for insurance appraisers, an indoor auction and inspection area, an inspection pit and an enhanced Early Tow and Appraisal yard.
