Hamilton, Ontario -- September 12, 2012 -- The Ontario Automotive Recyclers Association’s annual Mid-Year Meeting is just a few days away. Taking place September 14 and 15 at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Hamilton, the mid-year meeting provides an excellent opportunity for members of the OARA to network, indulge and talk shop.

The annual OARA golf tournament will be held on September 14 at King’s Forest Hill Golf Club.

A major highlight of the meeting will be the charity car auction held at LKQ Dominion in Stoney Creek, Ont. Coordinated by Denis Desjardins and the team at Sonshine Auto Parts, the auction will see proceeds going to support the OARA Employee Scholarship program. The vehicles being auctioned have been generously donated by State Farm Insurance, Intact Insurance, Impact Auto Auction, Stark Auto Auction and Dominion of Canada Insurance. The purchase price of vehicles will include towing provided by Groupe Laberge.

Following the car auction, attendees are invited to an open house and barbecue at LKQ Dominion where a number of exhibitors will be set up to discuss their companies and services.

On September 15, there will be a breakfast followed by the direct member meeting. Both are scheduled to take place at Hamilton’s Crowne Plaza hotel.
