Mazeppa, Minnesota -- February 16, 2010 -- Martech Services Company has introduced a new product call The Solution that the company says can produce clean, dry and hot atomized air from an existing compressed source.
According to Tom Wright, Director of Sales and Marketing, when placed near the point of use, The Solution will work with the existing compressed air source. The four-stage filtration is outfitted with an automatic moisture discharger. Then the clean air is further filtered to remove moisture content for super dry air. A controller, with digital outputs, allows user to set the temperature of the atomizing up to 165 degrees F. The Solution is shipped complete with a 3/8” ID x 35 foot spray air hose.
The Solution is a complete compressed air system designed to clean, dry, and heat the atomizing air for today’s spray paint requirements. The company says it is easy to use, simple to install, and affordable to maintain. The Solution is the result of years of experience and testing, to bring to the market, The Solution to today’s needs for atomizing air that works well with both waterborne and solvent based paint systems.

Norcross, Georgia--February 1, 2011--Car enthusiasts will soon trek to attend the 5th annual 2011 Canadian International AutoShow, February 18-27, 2011, located at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
Show attendees will be among the first in Canada to see AkzoNobel’s new low-VOC Wanda Waterbase basecoat system--while also getting a glimpse of the “Lingenfelter LTA” custom concept car featuring custom paint by Wanda.
“The Canadian International AutoShow is a great venue for us to showcase the Wanda Waterbase basecoat system," said Mark Rapson, AkzoNobel’s business manager of trade brands North America. "The trade segment of the auto refinish market in Canada has expressed great interest in an easy-to-use, low-VOC system with great colour at a value-based price point. Of course, we also couldn’t resist the opportunity to show off the stunning Lingenfelter LTA concept car designed and built by Lingenfelter Performance Engineering.”
The Lingenfelter LTA will be included as part of the show’s tribute to the classic Chevrolet Camaro. Developed as a prototype in 2010 to celebrate America’s muscle-car heritage, the 655 horsepower converted Camaro with 455 CID LS engine, split grille, side scoops, shaker hood with stylized screaming eagle design, fabricated honeycomb wheels and luxe interior, captures all of the features of a 1970s-style Trans Am―but with more elegance and power than the original. Painted in a knock-out custom Wanda Fire Orange Pearl finish and Wanda Mocha Pearl accent colour, the LTA will appear in the GM F-body exhibit located inside the show’s 700-level Classic Concourse area.
The Wanda Waterbase basecoat system, on display at Booth #F800-1K located in the 600-level South, is the newest addition to AkzoNobel’s Wanda car refinish brand of products. Comprised of low-VOC primer, clearcoat and waterborne basecoat, the system is designed to make “going green” easy with an uncomplicated approach to mixing ratios, comprehensive colour documentation and colour matching tools to help painters achieve compliance and quality performance.

Mississauga, Ontario--January 27, 2011--PPG Industries has given its PaintManager software and Paint Shop Interface Program, also known as Repair Order Costing (ROCO), greater capability by integrating with more facility management systems.
Most collision centres will now be able to integrate the system they already have in place with PPG’s PaintManager software to aid efficiency, productivity and profitability.
When PPG looked at how to help collision facilities track paint costs more easily, it decided to build an open interface that would work with any system. This approach allows facilities to use the management system they prefer, while still getting the advantages of integrating repair order data from the system into PPG PaintManager and actual mix costs from PaintManager to the management system.
PaintManager is PPG’s software application that manages the colour formulation and mixing operation in the collision centre. It also monitors and manages the costs and productivity of the paint operation and provides instant access to the information required to make informed decisions on job costs, material usage, mixing efficiency, inventory, and much more.
ROCO is PPG’s software interface that integrates a repair order from a facility's individual system with PaintManager to streamline processes and improve workflow. Using ROCO eliminates the need for facility personnel to repeatedly key in repair information. The program reads a centre's repair order and pulls it directly into PaintManager for immediate and future reference. They can track all paint and materials used on an RO to make the paint technician’s job as easy as possible. The reports ROCO generates provide a more complete picture of a shop’s overall performance.
PPG’s integrated solution works with most collision repair facility management systems. The system has the ability to track and store information for both management and functional purposes, making it an ideal way for a collision centre to monitor costs and productivity.
PaintManager and ROCO currently support a large number of systems including ABW Tracker, Auto Claims Solutions Repair Tracker Interactive (RTI), CCT’s CC3, Mitchell ABS Enterprise, New Era iAutoFocus, Rome Technologies CompleteShop, Summit Shop Management System, and many others with more being added on a regular basis.
